国际植物名称索引（英文：International Plant Names Index，缩写：IPNI）是一个植物学名资料库，由英国邱园、美国哈佛大学植物标本馆及澳洲国家植物标本馆合作运营，收录了各种种子植物、蕨类植物和石松类植物的命名资讯，包括与牠们的命名相关的基本书目资讯。
国际植物名称索引旨在记录学界已发表的植物学名供大众检索，同时还负责维护植物分类单元作者的姓名缩写格式，针对分类单元作者的姓名制定了一套规范化的标准缩写。这套标准缩写以英国学者理察·肯尼思·布鲁米特与凯萨琳·艾玛·鲍尔合著的《植物名称作者》一书为基础[注 1]，并在此基础上不断更新扩充[4]。
